Dutch Wonderland

Erin, Mom and I took the boys to Dutch Wonderland on Saturday. It was a first for the boys and I hadn't been there since I was a child - so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was incredible. Braden (and Logan for some) enjoyed riding Choo Choo Charlie, the park train (twice) the monorail, carosuel, a river boat, and some monster trucks. They also enjoyed the watepark - which had some great play areas for toddlers. They would have stayed all day if they could. Although I think we left at just the right time - Braden was asleep five minutes out of the parking lot. What a great day!!!

Logan's First Haircut

We took Logan for his first haircut today. Since summer is coming - I decided that shorter was better. (Braden just had his haircut) I wasn't sure how he was going to react being that he is more outgoing than Braden was at his age - but the tears emerged as soon as the clippers touched his head. Once his haircut was over, he was happy to eat his lollypop.

Weekend Activities

We enjoyed a weekend full of activities - a graduation party for my cousin, a Mother's Day makeup brunch, as well as a visit to my Mom's new townhouse. Here are just a few pics.

Mother's Day Pics

The boys and I had a great day. We enjoyed donuts for breakfast followed by some time outside in the beautiful weather. Before lunch Braden and I went to visit MiMi at the hospital. After naps (and some quiet time for Darren and I to catch on up some tv) we headed up to the Hardel's for dinner. What a wonderful day - thanks Darren, Braden and Logan.
Happy Mother's Day to all the "Mom's" in our lives. We love you all!!!
I wanted to post a comparison between this Mother's Day and last. The boys have changed so much!! Time is going by way too fast.

Elmwood Zoo

My sister and I took the boys to the Elmwood Zoo on Saturday afternoon. They were having a good time until we walked through the barn were the sheep and goats live. One of the sheep "baaaaa'ed" in Logan's face - he SCREAMED and cried for several minutes. From that point on he wasn't a happy camper. Braden however surprised me by asking if he could ride on one of the ponies. He waited for his turn, hopped on the horse with the help of the zoo keepers and rode around the track twice. He barely even noticed I was there - I was so proud of him for riding that horse all by himself. After that we visited the bison, prairie dogs, and of course the playground.
It was a great afternoon at the zoo! Thanks Erin for joining us!!

Goin' Fishing

A follow up to Darren's birthday. The boys went fishing early this morning. Braden could hardly wait - and since their return he hasn't stopped talking about it. How cute!!!

Birthday Party for Daddy

We celebrated Darren's Birthday with my family last night. Dinner included a Pot Roast with potatoes and vegtables and we had some awesome brownies in place of a cake. Darren received some wonderful gifts - including golf attire, a new shop vac, a Ron White DVD, and some John Deer tractor accesseries. Braden got daddy a fishing pole (something he has been wanting to do for awhile now) Luckily the kit that we got included a second pole for Braden. Who do you think was more excited??? Hmmmm.
Let's just say they were out fishing by 10 am this morning...pics to follow.

Playin' in the rain....

We let off some steam tonight by letting the boys play outside in the "rain".........
