Summer Cut

Darren had a hair appointment today and the kids and I tagged along. Debbie has some free time - so we decided it was time that Braden lost his "curls" just for the summer....
Gosh I can't believe how grown up he looks. Makes me a little sad.

Happy Birthday Daddy

Make a wish

Logan and Morgan

Singing Happy Birthday

Sunday afternoon before heading home

Braden decorating Daddy's cake

Darren's Birthday was on Friday. To help celebrate, two of his college roommates came from Chicago for the weekend. Not only had Darren not seen them in a long time - but it was the first time they would be meeting our boys! Super exciting.....

We all had a great time - even though I was pretty much a single mom for the weekend......
Braden and I managed to get a cake made and decorated on Sunday afternoon while Logan napped. To complete the weekend the boys and I sang Happy Birthday to Daddy on Sunday night after he returned from the airport.

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

Summer (Spring) Fun

Summer Fun!! We had an all around "fab" weekend. Braden, Jake and I headed to the farm on Friday to enjoy the animals and the "pretty flowers." (Logan was taking his morning nap) Thank goodness that Petrucci's wasn't open cause Braden would have had us eating ice cream at 9:30 in the morning. After devouring some Suzy Jo donuts on Saturday morning - we spent the day outside. We walked around the pond at the township building, found a baby frog and enjoyed time on the slide and swings. After lunch we got out our beach ball and water mat and played for hours. Sunday included many of the same activities -minus the donuts - at least for me.

The Pine Cone Collectors

Not a day goes by that my boys aren't collecting pine cones from a neighboring tree. Just couldn't pass up a pic. If you ever pass by our house you'll notice that we always have a couple of peanut butter and bird seed feeders hanging from the tree in our front yard....wonder why???

Easter Sunday

The Easter Bunny stopped at our house on Sunday - bringing the boys a basket full of treats. (thanks to all who contributed to the basket) Braden was quick to find out that the EB also left a trail of easter eggs outside in our yard. Both the boys had fun finding and collecting all the eggs. Braden was nice enough to "donate" some eggs to Logan's basket, who didn't really get the concept.....
Happy Easter to all our friends and family!!!

Easter Eggs

Wednesday night the boys, Aunt Erin and myself decorated Easter eggs. It was a first for the boys. Braden enjoyed putting the eggs in the dye - but wasn't as thrilled to wait while the color set in. Logan also enjoyed dropping the eggs in the different dyes - but wanted to immediately remove them. Braden thought the wax crayon was super cool and I think he wrote on almost every egg. While the eggs dried, we headed outside to play soccer and burn some energy......

Easter Egg Hunt

The boys and I went to the VF Fire Company Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday morning. I wasn't sure how Braden was going to do being so close to the fire trucks and the Easter Bunny (he likes them from afar) - but I was plesantly surprised.

The fire trucks were parked outside to allow for sign ups and other activities in the garage area. Once we signed up Braden insisted we go outside to see the fire trucks. He even sat on the Easter Bunny's lap. (Logan did as well) After their photo it was time to search for eggs - Braden found 3 eggs......he was so excited. It was a great time for all of us.

Logan's First Birthday

We celebrated Logan's first birthday yesterday with dinner and dessert. Logan was such a good sport (unlike Braden on his first birthday) Overall he was in a good mood and enjoyed his teddy bear cake that mommy made special for him (and one for Braden too) The adults had an ice cream cake. Logan got so many wonderful gifts - thanks to all.
